Do you suffer with bloating, cramping, painful periods, stomach upsets, constipation, diarrhea, headaches, insomnia, poor sleep, weight gain, poor energy, allergies, blood pressure, skin issues, etc?
These signs and symptoms are how our body communicates with us; your body is telling us it is stressed and that it needs support. Taking off stressors and adding in therapeutic nutritional support, lifestyle changes and new ways of managing stress and mindset can assist us in bringing the body back into a state of balance, so that it can function optimally.
Nutrients form the basis of every cell, structure and system in the body, so it makes sense that in order to support these cells, structures and systems that we need to feed the body the right nutrients at a foundational level. With functional nutrition we take an ancestral approach to nutrition, using a whole foods nutrient dense diet at its core to support foundations to health, which include hydration, blood sugar regulation, minerals, fatty acids and digestion.
Using functional nutritional therapy we assess where you are at - what's your body trying to tell us and what goals do you want to achieve? With this as our roadmap, I work with you over a period of time and at your pace to make recommendations in line with your goals and your bio-individual needs. Health is a commitment to a lifestyle and the journey of health, so working on your thoughts, beliefs and associated behaviors is directly linked with your ability to make the necessary changes in your life.
This is where helping you fall in love with food, healing your relationship with dieting and exercising, so that you are no longer in lack or fighting to 'have to' be healthy is where I also put my focus in your healing journey. Because sometimes we know what we need to do logically, but we can't figure out why we aren't taking the action. So, I help clients work with their limiting beliefs, values and their self image which can all influence your health and how you handle the world.
